Snoop Dogg at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame held on 8th April, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn said during his speech, “While many of you remember him now as some kind of thugged-out superhero, Tupac knew he was only human. It’s a fact that he never shied away from—he wore it like a badge of honor.” Snoop continued, “Pac embraced those contradictions that proved that we aren’t just a character in someone else’s comic book. To be human is to be many things.”
Snoop during his speech even called Tupac “the greatest rapper of all time,” and told the story of how Tupac was the first person to put him onto blunts. A tribute to the late rapper immediately followed, featuring Alicia Keys and Snoop himself. In addition to Tupac, this year’s inductees include Pearl Jam, Joan Baez, Journey, Electric Light Orchestra, and Yes.
